Short answer

MrKeyword is worth evaluating for a small team that wants its own search data, audits and keyword work in one workspace. Start with the free plan to check reporting usefulness. Upgrade for a defined allowance or workflow rather than assuming a low price establishes data quality.

Evidence and scope

This review follows submission #468. We checked the official workspace description and pricing table on November 4, 2026. We did not connect an account, crawl a site, inspect a generated brief or test MCP permissions. Ratings are withheld, and no affiliate link is configured.

What is documented

The product describes keyword research, rank tracking, site audits, reports and AI visibility, with Search Console and Bing data. Its homepage describes MCP as read-only by default with separately authorized actions. We could not retrieve the dedicated MCP page or verify the privacy page at the tested path. Confirm current documentation and requested permissions before connecting client data.

A dashboard can simplify weekly review while still requiring interpretation. Average position, a tracked keyword check and an AI answer are different observations. Decide which question you want the workspace to answer before comparing tiles.

Free versus paid limits

Free lists one website, one seat, 25 tracked keywords, 100 audit pages and ten live keyword lookups monthly, plus three AI visibility questions weekly. It excludes AI audits and briefs. Starter is $10 monthly or $100 yearly, with 500 keywords, 2,000 audit pages, 20 AI page audits, five briefs monthly and 15 visibility questions weekly. Growth is $19 monthly; Agency is $49. Visibility questions share a workspace pool across websites.

Count the pages and questions needed for one useful review cycle. A smaller site may learn enough from the free allowance; a multi-client account should calculate the shared pool before relying on it for separate reports. We did not verify checkout, paid entitlements or advertised lifetime availability.

Proposed reporting pilot

Choose one owned property and write down its current search filters. Compare five landing-page rows with the original reporting source using matching dates, search type and country. Explain any delay or missing rows before using the workspace to prioritize work.

Next, inspect one audit issue against the actual page. Confirm that the flagged condition exists and affects the intended reader journey. An issue count alone is a weak purchasing criterion: one indexing mistake can matter more than dozens of optional suggestions.

For AI visibility, read the original answer and confirm whether the brand was recommended, criticized or merely named. Ask how unsuccessful provider requests affect the displayed rate. These are proposed checks; we did not run them.

Assistant access and generated briefs

If you test MCP, begin with a narrow token and one property. Ask a factual read question, then inspect the resulting tool activity. Keep publishing credentials separate while evaluating generated content. Do not assume a read-only search connection makes every downstream assistant action read-only.

Check a brief against your current article library. Updating an existing useful page can be a better use of the allowance than producing a near duplicate. The SEO brief checklist supplies a review process.

Verdict

Shortlist MrKeyword for a measured pilot of a low-cost SEO workspace. Keep native reporting as the reference while you validate it. Compare TriRank for draft delivery and ShareOfAsk for explicit answer-panel metrics. See the tool profile and record your own evidence in the buyer matrix.

Review starting point: Small businesses evaluating their own search data and a limited SEO work queue

  3. Calculate the effective cost per accepted result, including usage, review, corrections, and required add-ons.

Review starting point: Free plan with limited SEO usage and 3 AI visibility questions/week; Starter $10/month or $100/year, Growth $19/month, Agency $49/month. Visibility questions share a workspace pool.

  4. Define an acceptance threshold, test known answers and edge cases, and record every correction.

  5. Verify what data enters the product, who can access it, how long it is retained, and whether it trains models.

Review starting point: Use approved low-risk data first. Check roles, consent, deletion, subprocessors, model-training settings, and the contract—not only the marketing page.

  6. Test the real handoffs, permissions, failure states, and export path your team depends on.

Review starting point: MrKeyword integration requirements are not fully structured in this review; list every required system and test each connection.

  7. Record training, governance, reliability, accessibility, ownership, and change-management risks before rollout.

Review starting point: Shared visibility pool across websites; Free plan excludes AI audits and briefs; Privacy and MCP details need direct verification
