This policy explains the limited information DiscoverAI processes when you browse the site, use an interactive tool, or join the newsletter.

Information we process
We may process basic usage information such as pages viewed, referring site, time spent on a page, clicks on newsletter, affiliate, or sponsored links, and optional structured helpfulness feedback on reviews and comparisons through privacy-focused analytics, including Umami and PostHog product analytics. PostHog session replay and automatic capture of clicks or form values are disabled. For optional-account onboarding, we also count repeated visits, the field category that failed browser validation, authentication-provider error categories, completed sign-ins, and the last step reached before leaving. We never record the value entered in a field. First-party measurement uses a random browser session identifier. Newsletter measurement records when an anonymous visitor sees, starts, completes, or encounters an error on a signup form, along with the placement and broad content interest; it never records the email address or form value. Analytics providers may use a random device identifier; this measurement does not store your email address or raw IP address. Your latest feedback choice is also kept in your browser so you can avoid duplicate prompts and change it later. Pricing-change reports contain the page, fixed change type, evidence and optional reply email a visitor submits; reply emails are used only for editorial clarification and never imply newsletter consent. If you subscribe, we separately process your email address and any optional name you provide. If you create an optional research account, we process your identity and the saved tools, evaluation notes, worksheets, recent research paths, Finder state, and confirmed alerts you choose to synchronize. If you submit community evidence, we associate your account privately with the tool, team size, use case, time using it, benefit, limitation, and renewal outcome you provide.
How we use information
We use information to operate and secure the site, understand which content is useful, deliver requested email updates, diagnose errors, and measure outbound links. We do not sell personal information.
Service providers
Hosting, analytics providers (including Umami and PostHog), email delivery, and affiliate partners may process limited data needed to provide their services. Clicking an external or affiliate link takes you to a third party whose privacy terms apply.
Cookies and local storage
The site may use cookies or browser storage for essential functionality, privacy-safe measurement, and saved interactive-tool state. Accounts use a signed, HTTP-only session cookie. A random analytics identifier may be stored locally to distinguish visits without identifying you by name or email. You can restrict or clear browser storage, although some features may stop working.
Your choices
An account is never required to browse, save, compare, or use worksheets. Creating one does not enroll you in the newsletter. Approved community evidence is displayed without your name or email, and you may replace a submission or request its removal. Shared shortlist links exclude notes, worksheet details, recent history, and Finder criteria. You may unsubscribe using the link in any email and may request access, correction, or deletion of account information through the contact or corrections channel described in our editorial methodology.
Children
DiscoverAI is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
