How this review was researched
This is an official-source research review, checked October 11, 2026. We have not run the product, measured output quality or audited its security. The vendor submission identified the candidate; it did not establish an endorsement. Ratings are withheld, and the exercises below are proposed buyer tests.
What the product documents
The product page separates Browser Free from optional Cloud Unblur. It describes static-image sharpening with side-by-side inspection and PNG download. Browser processing accepts up to 4MP; cloud processing up to 12MP, with a 10MB file limit. It does not advertise text recovery, batch editing or video restoration.
Pricing and the free boundary
The pricing page lists free local processing, 10 credits per successful cloud result and a 10-credit new-account allowance. One-time packs are $4.99 for 100 credits or $9.99 for 220. Purchased credits do not expire. These allowances mean ten or twenty-two delivered cloud results, rather than unlimited processing.
Limits, privacy and permissions
Local processing is described as keeping the selected image in the browser tab; cloud mode uploads it. That boundary matters more than a generic privacy label. We have not independently inspected network behavior. Check the privacy policy for cloud providers and retention. Sharpened textures must not be treated as evidence of a person’s identity or of unreadable text.
A proposed buyer test
Choose three images you own: mild missed focus, mild motion blur and a severely blurred frame. Include a sharp reference taken in the same setting if possible. First run the free mode. Inspect faces, fine lettering, repeating fabric and object edges at equal zoom. Do not compare a small original with a enlarged result.
Record halos, false texture and color changes as well as improvements. A file that looks more dramatic at thumbnail size can be less faithful at full resolution. For a product image, verify that the treatment has not changed the item’s visible construction.
Only test cloud mode if the upload terms are acceptable. Record the charged credits and compare against the browser result on the same original. Measure whether the improvement is worth paying for, including unsuccessful outputs. Repeat on the actual phone or laptop you will use; local processing depends on the device.
Keep a worksheet with the original input, expected outcome, actual output, editing minutes, credits consumed and accepted or rejected. Count rejected generations in your cost per usable result. Set your spending limit before the trial. An attractive vendor example does not establish an average success rate.
Alternatives and verdict
Your existing photo editor and a better source image are the first alternatives. A reshoot may solve the problem more faithfully than enhancement. Sharpniq is a narrow candidate when local processing is valuable and the source still contains useful detail. It complements background treatment rather than replacing it; see [Blur Background](/articles/blur-background-review-2026).
